Private Repeat Prescriptions

RescueRx provides private repeat prescriptions for patients who require continuity of medication when access to their usual GP or prescriber is delayed or unavailable.

Our service is designed for individuals already established on stable treatment who need safe, clinician-reviewed prescribing through a secure online consultation.

How the Service Works

  1. Complete a short online consultation through our secure system.

  2. A UK-registered clinician reviews your request.

  3. Your medical information is assessed for safety and suitability.

  4. If appropriate, a private prescription is issued.

Safety Information

RescueRx is not an emergency service.

Patient safety is always the priority.

Can I request medication I already take?
Yes, where clinically appropriate and safe to do so.

How quickly is my request reviewed?
Review times vary depending on demand, but urgent continuity cases are prioritised where possible.

How It Works

  • A clinician reviews urgency, suitability, and safety.

  • Where appropriate, a short-term prescription may be issued.

What Counts as an Emergency Request

Examples include:

  • Unexpected medication interruption

  • Travel or access delays

  • Repeat medication unexpectedly unavailable

What This Service Does NOT Cover

  • Medical emergencies

  • New diagnoses

  • Controlled or high-risk medication requests

  • Situations requiring urgent physical assessment

If you are unwell or at risk, contact emergency services or NHS 111.
