Emergency Prescriptions.
RescueRx offers a limited service for situations when you are out of a medication that had been recently prescribed but cannot access a timely prescription from your usual clinician e.g. when visiting UK.
This usually applies to situations when treatment course cessation is undesirable.
This is not a medical emergency service and does not replace urgent care.

What “Emergency Prescriptions” means on RescueRx:

-
You must already be on the medication that requires course completion and you are able to provide evidence of the treatment.
-
You complete a request through Semble, including identity verification, consent, medical history, and required documentation.
-
A clinician reviews your case to ensure issuing a private prescription is safe and appropriate.
-
If approved, for a short supply: up to 7 days of treatment, remaining duration of treatment course up to14 days or for duration of UK stay up to max 28 days* depending on medication and treatment type; a bridging private prescription may be issued.*
-
You take the prescription to any UK pharmacy to purchase your medication.

Important:

-
This service cannot be used for new diagnoses, starting new treatments, controlled drugs or drugs without documentation, or situations requiring urgent medical attention.
-
RescueRx does not provide immediate or out-of-hours care.
-
If your situation is a medical emergency, you must contact NHS 111, your GP, or calling 999 depending on the urgency; https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/urgent-and-emergency-care-services/
